Sharing Details of our ceremony and reception and more special moments from our magical day!
We wanted to incorporate a few traditional elements into our ceremony. We gave our Grandmothers and Mothers a small bouquet to carry down the aisle and place in the same vase to create a unity bouquet symbolizing how our families have shaped us into who we are and have supported us as we join ourselves together as one family. We also wanted to bring acknowledgment to our family members who have gone on before us and remember them and the significance they had on our life. Our Grandmothers and Mothers lit a candle in memory as a reminder that they are looking down and celebrating with us.
I can’t even handle this moment! Pure joy and happy tears!
We loved the industrial vibe of our venue, The Refinery. We wanted to bring in some soft elements to soften the space and reflect our style. White drapery was hung from the ceiling with strings of light to brighten the room and each place setting received a dusty blue water goblet to for just the right pop of blue. Greenery garland runners and bud vases of flowers were placed on every table to bring in some florals and life and dozens of candles were placed throughout the room to make the room feel romantic and sparkle.
Neither one of us are “cake people” so we decided to have a small cake to serve to our guests with our dessert bar and feed each other a chocolate chip cookie instead.
Our wedding day was so special to us and filled with so much love and celebration with so many of our favorite people. We are so blessed!
