INTRODUCTION TO FITB
OUR WEDDING DAY
MUST-READS
I’m a Pennsylvania raised turned Southern Girl residing in the heart of North Carolina. My love for home decor, organization, experimentation and creativity inspired me to share my journey!
MEET STACY
6/11/20
With being recent newlyweds (check out details of our wedding day), one of the things we have been enjoying lately is going through our wedding registry items we received as gifts for our wedding and putting them to use to really make our house feel like a home.
When starting a registry, begin by thinking through the main areas of your home/life that could use an upgrade or may be in need of some items to really compliment your daily lifestyle.
We used The Knot to organize our wedding registry as well as few additional wedding details. We were able to select and link our specific registries, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and Amazon right onto The Knot app for easy access to make any adjustments and keep track of items purchased to assist with thank you notes.
Our BEDDING and the KITCHEN. My husband and I did not live together before we were married so we really wanted to make our bedroom feel spa like and comfortable for us both to enjoy.
We decided to select a few “upgraded” options that cost a little more than we would normally select with the thought that if we didn’t receive the items as wedding gifts, we may receive gift cards that we could then use towards those pricier items.
We love our everyday glassware. I was a little worried that the quality wouldn’t keep up because of the price being so low, but they are sturdy, easy to hold and we love the look. This is a great find for an awesome price! And, I do love the idea that if we would break a few, it would be affordable to replace the set.
Most of the items we both personally had within our separate living areas were hand-me-down items we received from family and friends over the years. We were excited to update many basic items in our kitchen to reflect our style and functionality. You may have caught on that my husband and I LOVE the fresh feel of a white kitchen. Although our current kitchen does not fully reflect our style, we wanted to select kitchen items that would give us that airy white kitchen feel and would grow with us if and when are able to make that dream white kitchen come to life.
We are both big coffee drinkers and wanted to add a few upgrades to our in-house coffee station.
I’m excited to share home updates as we continue to settle in together as a married couple!
